Man is this a great time of year or what! I've been out about 4 times, saw a 6pt (non shooter) and 3 doe's (did'nt have a shot). Despite having no meat in the freezer as of yet I'm still having a ball. What's working well in Tennessee this time of year? - This is Mark, your cousins husband.

hey Mark, really nothing is working here. We have no acorns no persimmons. We had a frost late in the spring and pretty much wiped every crop mothernature gives us. We are all still hunting though hoping for the best. We have had a few encounters with a few shooter bucks but couldnt pull it off. We are waiting on cooler weather. Its been in the low 80's during the day, that makes hunting hard.

I hunt in Delaware county along side of a resevoir called Alum Creek. Delaware is about 30 North of Columbus. We still have a lot of crops up and the acorns have fallen this year. I actually think we have too much food for the deer this year. I'll be glad when all the crops are down so they have to work a little harder to get after what they want.

must be nice to have to much food for the deer. Our deer here in TN are freaking starving because there isnt any food crops. Guess that is why Ohio deer will weigh twice if not three times as much as TN deer.
